Cosmopolitan always hosts the biggest and hottest parties of the year when it comes to launching new swimwear for the summer, and this year was no exception. It took place at The Grand Café & Beach in Granger Bay and was the perfect beach location for a night out. Cosmo went all out with amazing sponsors such as Sunglass Hut, Havaianas, Brutal Fruit, Katy Perry’s Fragrance – Purr, Veet and Rimmel London to mention a few.
On arrival guest were greeted with a Brutal fruit and got to mingle with all the fabulous socialites and celebrities such as Liezel van der Westhuizen, Janez Vermeiren, Roxy Louw and Gina Athans to mention a few.
After settling in, everyone took their seats for the runway show to start. Guests were excited to see the new swimsuits for the summer by brands such as Roxy, Mr Price,Edgars and of course the latest designer sunglasses by Sunglass Hut . The show started off with sexy metallics and the models strut the runway confidently and looked amazing. Each swimwear range were theme orientated and accompanied by stunning accesories and diamond jewellery by DIVA.
Rimmel London added a unique touch to the fashion show with their extravangant red, blue and white outfits.

The trends for summer 2011/2012 is to go with bright colours and colour block. The one piece swimsuit is very popular and perfect for sundowners or pool parties and the latest look is the vintage look with the high waisted two piece swimsuit. It is cute and fun and takes you back to the 40′s. Accessories is a definite must have with your swimwear from bulky bangles, oversized hat, the perfect pair of sunglasses (which Sunglass Hut made sure we all noticed!) and of course Havaianas flip flops to add that final glamorous touch.
Cosmopolitan parties are always a night to remember and after getting inspiration from the runway, make sure you go to the beach and show off your sexy look with all the great fashionable tips and trends you took from the show!
