Norwegian-based designer Nina Jarebrink held a dinner last week for Cape Town and Johannesburg fashionistas at 15 on Orange hotel. I love a fashionista night out every now and then – especially with a good 4 coarse meal, each served with delicious wine and charming company. Getting the party started obviously required some champers and good chats with Liezel van der Westhuizen, Glamour Editor Pnina Fenster and the one and only Lipgloss Girl.
The fashion show began and I must say we were all taken aback. Sophistication was expressed in such a dashing way which left us wanting more. I never thought the day would come that I desperately needed a pair of green velvet jodhpurs! Yes ladies, green velvet jodhpurs! The ready-to-wear collection oozed a look of chic confidence like no other. Fur, gold metallics and chiffon were the selected ensembles to make this collection speak to a particular kind of lady – classy fashionista.
